I’ve been following your site for……hmm…feels like years 🙂 Seen a lot of cool pedalboards and thought I would send you mine.

My band plays Modnine (Modern 90’s) Rock and is very guitar driven. So I have to have a lot of different tones and tricks up my sleeve. That’s why I come equipped with the Zoom G3.

My effects chain is as follows (in the right order)

Les paul into:

Polytune Mini
An obvious choice. I love to strum all my strings at the same time and get an instant view of how detuned my brilliant guitar is 🙂

Proteus Subdecay
The ultimate soft porn pedal. It´s an auto wah pedal with that authentic soft porn movie feel. But I don´t use that feature. Instead I turn on the sequencer and use it kind of like the seek wah. It´s only used on one song yet and will probably stay that way as it´s too dominating.

Way Huge Swollen Pickle
A very versatile fuzz. You can get a gazillion sounds out of this pedal due to all those buttons. I used to try to use the big muffs and fuzz faces but couldn’t use them live as they didn’t cut thru the mix. This one does. Soaring Fuzz leads and heavy Smashing Pumpkins riffs. If only I knew how to play anything close to that 🙂

TC Electronic Nova Drive
All the drive a man will ever need. I love this pedal. I use it together with the Switch-3 and get different combinations of distortion. It´s an Analog pedal but with digital stuff to memorize your settings (yeah, I said stuff 🙂 I use channel 1 for overdrive with boost. Channel 2 for distortion with stacked distortion for the heavy stuff. Channel 3 for crazy messed up things that tend to squeel more than anybodies wife.

Zoom G3
This is the heart of my setup. This machine has a lot of different options to choose from. Here I get all my modulation and basically everything except od/dist and fuzz. I love the delays and the reverbs on the G3. I can actually stack 6 different delays upon each other if I would wan’t that. Which I do. I have the extra foot switch attached to control the tap tempo and other stuff on the G3. You can dig up some very unique sounds from this machine and I simply never have the time to completely explore everything as it has soooo much stuff. I love how you can plug it into your pc via a usb cable, not only to play with the settings, but also to record your songs in any DAW as a vst plug in. It´s just so versatile and I couldn´t imagine my pedalboard without it.

All this is powered up with some huge ass power monster that can actually carry 2000mA. So I daisy chain everything except the Nova Drive which comes with it’s own power source.

I use a Peavey Classic 50 amp which is absolutely perfect for what I´m trying to achieve.

My main inspiration is Billy Corgan from the Smashing Pumpkins and John Frusciante. I love that thick muff sound and have done so from the time I heard the first song by the SP. I stopped in my tracks (literally) back in 1995 when I heard the beginning of Hummer on Siamese Dream. It was playing in another room and I entered with my jaw wide open. When that thick muff sound oozed like honey from the speakers my knees buckled. After the song, I immediately called my dad and told him to meet me downtown. We were gonna buy me a guitar. Which he thankfully agreed to do. This moment changed my life.

So, there you go. This is what drives the sound of Casio Fatso
