Pedal Line Friday – 12/14 – Noah Cerveny

Today’s pedal line is from Noah Cerveny. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.

Pedal Line Friday - 12/14 - Noah

Hi there!
My name is Noah. I’m a big fan of the blog! I play guitar in the noise pop band The True Jacqueline. Here’s our website: www.truejacqueline.com. We’re from Northampton, MA and we’re about to go on a tour of the midwest. I was taking pictures for insurance and figured I’d send one in.
This particular board is designed for touring. It’s pretty streamlined with some redundancy built in.

Most of the cables are homemade Mogamis.
ZVex Super Hard On: I got this from tryapedal.net and couldn’t give it up. It makes my guitar sound more like itself if that makes sense.
EHX Small Stone Nano: I bought this from a friend. It’s got a big washy sound to it. It’s a little intense and not for everyone but once you get used to it it’s great!
Bearfoot FX Mint Green Mini Vibe: An awesome sounding vibe with a tiny footprint and jacks in the right places for a pedalboard!
Bearfoot FX Honey Bee: I’ve owned a lot of overdrives and this one’s the best low-gain pedal I’ve ever used. It’s incredibly touch sensitive and it’s easy to make it sound like it’s coming from the amp’s preamp.
Keeley modded RAT II: Keeley makes a great pedal sound even better. I set the gain a little lower on this one.
Turbo RAT: This is from the first year they were made. I got this on a recommendation from Eric Gaffney. Such a great pedal. Touch sensitivity again!
TC Electronic PolyTune: You know what it does. Helps me tighten and loosen my strings so that they vibrate at the proper frequencies.
Stomp Under Foot 1970 Triangle Muff: Matt makes great sounding muff clones! He’ll work with you to help you find exactly what you’re looking for. We chose this one together.
Stomp Under Foot Violet Rams Head Muff: I use these for different tones depending on the song. This one has a bit more treble than the Triangle. I like putting a volume pedal in front of it and cleaning this one up.
Keeley modded Ibanez AD9: I got this pedal for $20 because “some metalhead” spray-painted it black. I’ve had it for a while and I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it. It sounds warm and wonderful and the infinite repeats option is great!
4ms Tremulus Lune: I built this one from a kit. It’s optical which is nice and all those knobs make it very versatile.
EHX Memory Boy: A great sounding delay that can turn wacky at the turn of a knob or flick of a switch. It’s fun to run the infinite repeats from the AD9 through the tremolo into some crazy modulated delays!

So that’s it! At least for the next three weeks.

Thanks!
Noah Cerveny
