Custom 77 King for a Day Booster – Give Away!

Custom 77 King for a Day Booster - Give Away!GIVE AWAY IS CLOSED

Custom 77 out of France is one of my favorite builders that definitely deserve some great attention. We had the opportunity to demo a couple of their pedals in the past (King for a Day Booster and the Push Me Pull Me Overdrive) and they’re both well built, and sound absolutely great.  They definitely paid attention to the *core* tone – by effecting it but not altering the original singal. They also do a great job providing various tonal options, that frankly, all sound great.

Today, I’m super excited to give away (actually bummed that I have to give it away and not keep it for myself) the King for a Day Booster. For those of you not familiar with the King for a Day booster, check out this review post for full details and audio sample and video. In a nutshell, it’s a treble booster – in the same vain as the Dallas Rangemaster and Beano type boosts. They get stinky and are absolutely great for awesome lead tones or to get that great medium-grit crunch (you can get some classic AC/DC rhythm tones all day long with this guy). Normally, a treble boost has one knob and a dream. Possibly a 3 position switch for tone voicings and that’s about it. With the King for a Day you get some more control to really dial in what you want – Level, Hi-Cut and Voice. I like the fact that these are all controlled with potentiometers vs. toggle switches (specifically with the voice control). It also has a buffer and ground lift on/off options as well.

I would like to send out a special thank you to Paul over there at Custom 77 who is gracious enough to donate a pedal to a lucky EffectsBay reader! Please take a moment to check out Custom 77 on the web, on Facebook and on Twitter. Custom 77 does MUCH more than pedals, so be sure to check out their other offerings as well!

Okay, how do you win the Custom 77 King for a Day Booster? Read below:

I’m going to select one random entry on October 29th. I will email that random entry asking for the answer to the question listed below. They will have 24 hours to respond with the answer. If the 24 hours passes and I don’t hear from that finalist, I will select a new random entry and repeat the process until I receive confirmation from the winner. This is open to everyone. Yes, that means international! Also, one entry per person. Please read that last sentence again… “one” “entry” “per” “person”.

The submission form will be open until October 29th (Monday) 1PM MST.

On top of that, I’m going to sweeten the deal. If you ‘LIKE’ EffectsBay on Facebook and you’re selected as the winner, I’ll throw in a extra prize – A free Pedal Label System pack (learn more at PedalLabels.com)

So, it’s pretty much a no-brainer to like Effectsbay on Facebook! Just click ‘like’ below or visit the EffectsBay Facebook page here.

So the question is…. “If you win this pedal, how do you plan on using it? Lead? Rhythm? Noise? All? On a particular song? Anything goes.. let me know!”

Please help promote this give away by Re-Tweeting and sharing on Facebook! Keeping these give aways successful is the key to more give aways. Everyone likes free stuff right?
