The Black Keys have always been interesting to me. I definitely admire the guitar skill of Dan Auerbach, but for some reason I don’t think I ever ‘got’ the band. I recently saw them on Austin City Limits (not sure if it was a re-run or not), but I think that performance, I really started to understand what that band was all about. I also appreciate that they acknowledge their beginnings. In that ACL performance there was the traditional end-of-show interview, and I really liked how they would talk about the old days getting paid $5 a show…. and how that was great. Glad they still have their heads close to the ground.
Recently, Gil from Divine Noise let me know about the Premiere Guitar’s Rig Rundown of Dan Auerbach, and mentioned that Dan is sporting on of his 50/50 curly cables. Way to go Gil! Like I said before, Divine Noise makes some fantastic cables, they’re worth checking out for sure.
