Happy Birthday Jimi Hendrix

Jimi HendrixJimi was born on November 27th, 1942. He died September 18th, 1970. His influence on the world of guitar is legendary and unquestionable. Some regard him as the greatest guitarist.. ever. Some argue that, but in my opinion his energy, innovation, talent shook the world and that energy is still shaking today.

For his birthday, I was going to post a video of him playing, and got unbelievably side tracked on watching various pieces footage out there. He definitely had the ability to draw you in with his presence and talent. I forgot how ‘raw’ and ‘natural’ the live performance sounded like.. he is very missed.
