Today’s pedal line is from Matt Miller. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.
Here’s my pedal line for submission. The picture is kinds bad, it was taken with my phone.
The signal chain goes from right to left:
Guitar -> Electro-Faustus EF103 Guitar Disruptor -> Digitech PDS 20/20 Multiplay (multi function digital delay) -> which splits the output to a Boss TU-12 tuner and to my amp.
The pedal on the far left is the channel switcher for my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier. It’s all on my homemade IKEA Gorm pedalboard
The Electro Faustus EF103 Guitar Disruptor is a combination overdrive, octave, and oscillator all in one. It’s noisy and out of control in a good way. The Digitech PDS 20/20 Multiplay is versatile pedal with delay, echo, chorus and flange. I got it for an old band where I need an infinite loop. It was the cheapest and best sounding pedal in the music store closest to my house at the time. It make all kinds of video game and cartoon noises too. I like it combined with a wah or envelope filter too.
I’m not sure the Guitar Disruptor will stay a permanent fixture, it’s a little *too* out of control, even for my new band Wormrider. I’m looking for an affordable fixed wah (anyone have a Dunlop Q-Zone they want to get rid of?), or something that will make my guitar sound like a AM radio.
Thanks,
-Matt
