Today’s Pedal Line Friday submission is from Peter Laustsen. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.
Pedal Line Friday – 12/1 – Peter Laustsen
Hi there!
My name is Peter Laustsen and I’m a bass player, music educator and guitar tech by trade. I reside in western Norway, where I teach various music related topics and play basses/Warr guitar.
This is my 3rd generation pedalboard, built on a PedalTrain frame with a VoodooLabs psu feeding the whole thing.
Here’s the line (no explanation, google ’em):
– EHX Pitchfork
– Mooer LowFi Machine
– Sonic Research Turbo Tuner
– Goodrich 120 Volume Pedal
– OnkartGromt Grombass v2
– Dr. Scientist Radical Red Reveberator
– MASF Possessed
– EHX Deluxe Memory Man w Hazarai
– TC Electronic Ditto X4
– WMD Geigercounter (not pictured)
I mostly play soundscapy «frippertronics» free improv stuff and I’ve been working a lot with looping since 2003, where I started out looping with a Line6 DL4. Many devices later (Echoplex, Looperlative, Ditto X2), I’ve ended up with a simple board-friendly solution, the Ditto X4.
I love pedals, but recently I’ve settled more with my favourites, instead of hunting those small magic boxes all over the web for countless hours.
