Pedal Line Friday – 7/14 – Daniel Reynolds

Today’s Pedal Line Friday submission is from Daniel Reynolds. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.

Hello! Love the email list.

This is what I am currently using. My primary gig is with a Celtic fusion band, Greenhouse
https://www.facebook.com/greenhouse.celtic/

The signal path is:
Line 6 ‘Relay’ wireless, to a radial A/B box – as I often also use an upright bass or occasionally a synth bass.

Then to the Keeley Bassist compressor, I like a lot of compression as Greenhouse might have an accordion, a fiddle, pipes, two percussionists plus guitar and multiple vocals, so I need to be tightly constrained in the acoustic bandwidth (except when I’m not!).

The Chorus is just OK, I am still searching for something more intense, “swampy” but the Boss worked in the studio on our last album ( https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/greenhouse12 cover photo also by your’s truly).

I’ve used various loopers, but the ditto is solid and reliable. The biggest failing is that I have to use a 110 outlet to power a USB cable for it, no input to run it off of the power supply – which is a Voodoo 2.

From looper to a Dunlop (DPV 1XL very smooth) with an out to the Korg Pitchblack tuner.

Mostly using a Fender Precision ‘Roadworn’ 57-ish bass with flats, also a ’94 Musicman fretless Stingray, a 1982 G&L L2000e I’ve had since new pr an Ibanez SR406 6 string. The second input might will usually be used for a 1969 Pollmann busetto upright bass, strung with D’Addario Helicores and a Pierre Joseph ‘Stringcharger’ pickup or a ‘Ergo’ 6 string electric upright.

Anyway, keep up the good work, really like the emails

Cheers!
