Nick Jaffe (AKA Just Nick Music) is one of the best demo guys out there… for sure. I’ve been following him for years. He goes way beyond demos as well. If you’re not familiar with his lesson videos or tip/technical videos, you are seriously missing out! Now, back to his demos, I love his demos, because of multiple reasons. Number one, his ability to show what the pedal is capable of with a wide range of techniques is where it’s at. No ‘shredding’. Not too genre specific – so you can get a feel on how that pedal would react/respond to your own style of playing. The next great reason, is his explanation of what is going on. There are some crazy pedals out there, and he takes the time to break things down at a technical level on what exactly is happening to your signal when it hits that pedal. If you can, please take the time and subscribe to his YouTube channel
Nick plays in the band Pancake7, and I’m always curious what rigs people are running, so when he posted a video of his current pedal board (NOW) I was intrigued. I love that he has to say ‘NOW’, because just like all of us, the pedals and gear change as the needs change, or frankly you get bored with that same overdrive and want to try something else. Boards are suppose to be alive.. let it change if it needs to.
