Today’s Pedal Line Friday submission is from Daniel Shields. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.
My name is Daniel Shields and I’m the owner of DS Guitar Engineering in Atlanta, GA. We primarily make custom auxiliary pedals. We just recently unveiled the Chronograph, which is our first full production pedal. It’s featured at the top of the pedalboard, just above the VP Jr. You can learn more at our website: http://dsguitarengineering.com/
The board is a Temple Audio Trio 28. It’s not actually wired yet in the picture, but the signal chain will be something like this:
Goodwood Audio Interfacer -> Boss ES-5
The ES-5 contains 5 effects loops that can be placed in any order. These 5 pedals will be connected to it:
– Keeley 4-knob Compressor
– Klon Centaur
– JHS Superbolt v2
– JHS Muffuletta
– Electro-Harmonix Nano POG
The signal will continue from the Boss ES-5 as follows:
Boss ES-5 -> Ernie Ball VP Jr -> Strymon DiG (Stereo Out) -> Strymon Timeline (Stereo) -> Earthquaker Devices Avalanche Run (Stereo) -> Goodwood Audio Interfacer
Global tap tempo will be sent from the ES-5 to the DiG and Avalanche Run via the control ports. Both pedals feature our external tap tempo mod. The Timeline also receives tempo and program change messages via MIDI from the ES-5.
The board will be powered from underneath by a Strymon Ojai and Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+.
Our Chronograph pedal shows the current time and is also a handy countdown timer or stopwatch when needed. The Chronograph is available for preorder now and will begin shipping on August 31st.
Thanks for letting me know about your Pedal Line Friday opportunity!
