As I get older and look towards the future, frankly, I often get depressed. It’s hard to explain, and probably something I need to get a shrink involved with. Maybe it’s just midlife crisis? Maybe a new red corvette will fix that? But I think a large part of it is the fact that the end is closer than before. Like when you’re a teenager, you literally feel immortal. Death is a lifetime away. Contemplating your own mortality is never fun. Some people can deal with it very zen like. Next chapter, yadda yadda. I definitely kick and scream, whine and complain. Not very zen.
I recently watched this amazing mini-documentary called ROCK VS. CANCER and it was like a slap to my face. Time to get my sh*t together. This documentary follows John Grabaski III during his struggle with cancer and his drive to record an album with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio. Check it out below.:
