When I visited NAMM 2017, one of the highlights was visiting the Beetronics booth. It pretty much blew my mind. Love the sounds of their pedals. Their marketing is very appealing, easy to catch on, and dare I say – easy to create a buzz on their products. Talking with Felipe, it was clear these guys were going to go places with their company.
Later I had a chance to check out their Overhive, and it’s still at the top of my list of next purchases. When 2018 NAMM came and went, I knew I was going to regret not going this year. But.. I was happy to see that Beetronics released a couple of interesting a great products – namely the Buzzter and Royal Jelly. Both seem awesome. Check out this video from NAMM 2018 below…

I like what Beetronics is doing and I especially like their approach. The pedal market is over saturated (no pun intended…nope, not even a little) and what sets a handful of builders apart from the rest for me is the family involvement that either involves the spouses and/or children. For some reason, the mixture seems to address all the intrinsically vital aspects of launching a new company better than a couple of “bros†with a soldering gun and a case of 1590 enclosures. I like that Beetronics is making good sounding pedals that work for guitar and bass, kinda like Ryan and family at Fuzzrocious. As I play both guitar and bass, having good sounding, dual purposed pedals saves money and board real estate.
