I´m the singer and guitarist of proofReading Your Mind, an Indie Band from Hamburg/Germany. What started off as my own solo home recording project years ago has now turned into an Indie band. Currently we are working on our first e.p.

My pedaltrain metro 24 board features an ampless setting with a tech21 liverpool v2 as an always-on virtual amp (with speaker simulation) between the overdrive section and the time based effects section.

When practicing/noodling at home the time based effects at the end of the signal chain are run into the aux in of the TC helicon play acoustic which is used as stereo looper and a headphone amp. The ampless setting was originally born out of the necessity of mainly playing and practicing late at night. Since I mainly practice with headphones I find a constant mono signal being too hard on the ears which is why I run stereo effects. I got so accustomed to mainly making my sound with the guitar and the pedal board that I stuck with it.

In a live setup/rehearsal room setup I run the time based effects mono into the guitar in of the TC Helicon. My Sennheiser e935 vocal microphone goes straight into the mic in of the TC helicon which is used for vocal compression, eq, reverb, delay and harmonizing effects. Each song has it´s own preset so it´s also my electronic set list. Guitar and and vocal signal are fed straight into the mixing console via symmetrical out. Normally I don´t use an amp; if I have to (i.e. certain clubs/stages with a backline) I mostly deactivate the speaker simulation on the tech21.

Wampler Latitude Deluxe (at the center of the board so I can tap tempo while singing)
Wampler Black ´65 (mainly for fender-ish clean sounds or a bit of dirt)
Wampler Euphoria (on the transparent setting with mid gain)
Tech21 Liverpool V2 (the heart of the board with a clean setting)
MXR Phase 99 (mostly with univibe-like sounds)
TC Electronics Nova Delay ND1 (mainly ping pong and reverse delays)
TC Electronics Nova Reverb NR1 (manual mode: small dry room; save: warm plate)
TC Helicon play acoustic (for vocal effects; when used with acoustic guitar with body res compression and sometimes reverb)

The pedals are powered with a Cioks TC-10 which is mounted under the board. It´s 12V-outs power the NR1, NR1, the TC helicon and the Wampler Black ´65 (for more headroom).

My main electric guitar is a Fender American Std. Telecaster. My main acoustic guitar is a Martin DC-16OGTE.
