Today’s Pedal Line Friday submission is from RJ Reid. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.
Pedal Line Friday – 3/3 – RJ Reid
My “DIY 16″ x 32″ pedalboard build”, and then pics of finished loaded board..I just ordered my first Rattlesnake instrument cable build and currently doing an inventory of all the patch cables I need for this board now it is completed and then order them to be built at Rattlesnake. Once the entire board is laced up with Rattlesnake cables and I mount the 2 Ouja Strymon Power supplies underneath I will send in some pics to vie for “pedalboard of the week”…I am also adding a Vertex “Steel Strings” drive and a Alf Hermida “Zen Drive” to this board’s array of EFX that I just purchased/ordered built and I am waiting the arrival of..
The board currently consists with a Vox Clyde McCoy on the front end into a Origin Effects Cali76 TX Comp/Limiter amp, then into a Lovepedal Amp Eleven, then into a Lovepedal SRV Super Six, then into a 90’s TS9 ( DIY Analogman modded out this unit with a chip socket and currently has a TI JRC4558D chip in it but in less than 3 minutes I can instal a 4558P, or LM833, etc..,) then next in line is a Electro Harmonix Pitchfork, then a Lovepedal Bone Tender Fuzz, in line next, Moen Shaki Jimi Vibe/Chorus unit, then Lovepedal Echo Baby, and then a Lovepedal Princess Hall Reverb and Modulation unit..hope you see something you like ..I included my backline of tube amps in my music/rehearsal room, which from left to right is a 1999 Orange AD5 tube combo with orange 1×12 PPC closed back extension, cab, then 1996 Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (Fromel Supreme Kit modded), then a 1990 Marshal model 4101 JCM900 1×12 combo, switchable from 50 to 100 watts and this is an EL84 power tubes version of this model. Then finally, a 1996 Fender HotRod DeVille (Fromel Supreme Kit modded as well).
Thanks Effects bay for taking a peek, taking a look, and letting me show off my gear to you all I use as a 4 decades long gigging working Blues musician. My current live music project and band is called “Bluz Kadillac” and will be out working in the next 8 weeks or so hitting festivals and will have a FB presence which is being built now in fact. My band delivers original Swamp Blues Rock..I perform as the lead guitarist using a 91 and 97 ash bodied Strat Plus’ and rotate to playing slide on a 1957 Gibson BR6 lap slide.
Blues for breakfast always Effects Bay Crew! Best regards in all your endeavors in 2016.
