Today’s Pedal Line Friday submission is from Ignasi Vilanova. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.
Pedal Line Friday – 3/17 – Ignasi Vilanova
Hello from Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
My name is Ignasi Vilanova and I play small venues with my local cover band called V-ROC doing classic rock, pop and blues versions.
This is my current set, the pedals are listed in the order set in the pedalboard which in some cases respond more to logistic reasons than tonal ones.
> Shure GLXD16: wireless system and tuner
> EHX Cock Fight: fuzz/wah&talkbox (wah controled with Pigtronix dual expression pedal)
> EHX Pitch Fork: poliphonic pitch shifter (pitch controled with Pigtonix dual expression pedal)
> SP Xotic: compressor (running on 12V for extra headroom)***
> Drybell Vibe Machine: univibe ***
> Ibanez TS808: overdrive ***
> Earthquaker Devices Hoof Reaper: dual independent fuzz & octavia ***
> Wampler Plexi Drive Deluxe: independent overdrive & plexi distortion ***
> Strymon Flint: independent tremolo and reverb***
> Strymon Timeline: delay unit ***
> EP Xotic: clean boost (running on 18V for extra headroom)
> Boss GE7: graphic EQ (mainly to equalize for the Les Paul since I usually play with Strat.
> TC Electronic Ditto: looper (mainly for practice and playing around)
(***) pedals connected to an ACCEL FX8 Command Center running in programmed sequences.
All pedals are powered with a Walrus Audio Phoenix clean power supply and mounted on a Pedaltrain Metro 24 pedalboard using Evidence Audio SIS Kit cables.
I mostly run it through a Mesa Boogie Express 5:50 on the Clean channel and change to the Blues channel for some overdrive settings through the FX8 command center.
My guitars are two Strats (Highway One & MIJ) with Rebel Relic pickups, one Gibson Les Paul Custom V.O.S. 68 and a Gibson Firebird 2014.
Hope you enjoy it, lots of fun and research to put it together but it sounds great now.
Cheers.
