2017 Poll for your Favorite Delay Pedal

PollI get asked ALL the time about what my favorite delay pedals are. As the years come and go, so do the delay pedals. I haven’t done a poll in a long time, and they’re super useful if you’re wondering about what’s hot.. and what’s not. So I assembled a list of current delay pedals on the market now. I know I missed a few. If you notice one missing, please shoot me an email or comment below and I’ll get it on the list.

For this poll, I’m allowing 3 choices, since it would be very hard to determine favorite. Some might just pick the most expensive (bucket list delay), or someone might pick something that covers a lot of sonic ground. I understand there could be multiple factors, so 3 picks should help with that.

If you want to go in more detail, please feel free to comment below. That information could be very useful for all the players out there!

You need to add the Digitech Hardwire DL-8 to the list. It’s like a Lexicon PCM42 in a pedal.

Hey — The T-Rex Relay Box all the way — A solid pedal w/a multitude of options(plus I won it here on 1 of your early giveaways). The DigiTech Obscura & the Source Audio Delay give me a bunch of options & they are a great loop of stackable delays. Thanks — JB

I own 3 Keeley Electronics DDL pedals that I love and use all the time. You don’t deem them fit for your list? Just your advertisers, hmmm? Delay Workstation, Multi-Echo, Mag Echo

Randy… “You don’t deem them fit for your list? Just your advertisers, hmmm?” Seriously? I have 90+ delays in this poll. I stated in my post.. nicely.. to comment if I missed anything. I didn’t ‘deem’ anything. I added the following.. Keeley Magnetic Echo Tape, Keeley KMAG Magnetic Echo, Keeley ME-8 Multi-Echo, Keeley KRecino Recino, Keeley Delay Workstation

The Ibanez AD mini is pretty nifty. I still love the Analogman ARDX20. F Pedals Echo Bandit is also pretty awesome, but totally “under the radar.” There are some great sounds in the Eventide Timefactor/H9 family, as well.

I’m a little surprised that my personal fave – the Boss DD-500 – has so few votes, but I guess that’s because it’s pricey and still quite new. It’s easily the most convenient I’ve tried though: it does everything that my RE-20 and DD-3 can do, and then some.

Alexander Pedals has several delays. As is MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe. Email me–I did some delay shopping years ago and have another way to organize the list
