Wow, a few years ago I started Pedal Line Friday as a feature on this blog. Looking back to the archives of images, I see the first Pedal Line Friday submission was from October 30th 2009! 7 years ago?? Seriously, that sort of blows my mind. I think I missed one PLF submission (and that was due to me brain farting and forgetting it was Friday).
The Pedal Line Feature has been an Effects Bay community favorite. I constantly get messages that people really like it. There are plenty of people that post pedal boards and gear.. but what I personally like about Pedal Line Friday is that the submitters provide a write up. In that write up, you get to understand the mindset of pedal routing. Choices they made on pedals, or possibly what they’re hoping to add or replace. Also, with Pedal Line Friday, I love the re-submissions. Just like all of us, our pedalboards are in constant flux – changing and adapting to our current musical needs. It’s interesting to see what got cut and what got added.
And finally, I love the music. I also request submitters to include links to their band or music project.
Pedal Line Friday Submission Request
I wanted to write this post to see if YOU might be interested in being featured on Pedal Line Friday? Do you have a board? Do you have a row of pedals on the floor? Submit it, we would love to hear what you’re up to. Submitting is easy. Simply send me a photo of your pedal line and include a write up – talk about why you like the pedals. Talk about the routing, and like I mentioned include any links to your band or music project. Send your submission to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com
