With every give away, I ask the winner to send me a photo of themselves with the prize. Sometimes I get a photo, sometimes I don’t, but I really do love it when I do get them. The Malekko Scrutator was an awesome give away, for a very unusual pedal. I like it when the give away item is something a little different, and with something like this, it’s great to expose a non-conventional pedal to the masses, that might not necessarily be into this style of pedal, but be creatively inspired moving forward.
Malekko Heavy Industry is one of those builders out there, that push the envelope in all sorts of directions. If this company is not on your effects-radar, you need to get them on there. They make amazing pedals. If you’re into synths, they also make synth modules as well!
Dave B. was the winner of the Malekko Scrutator Give Away, and he was kind enough to send me a photo and a quick note about the Scrutator:
Dave B. here, writing from Urbana, IL. Sorry it’s taken me so long to send you a photo & feedback about the Scrutator…it has definitely sent me down the rabbit-hole of crazy sounds and almost endless tweakability! Insane glitches and demented modulation, coupled with a very addictive filter. This pedal is, as the kids say nowadays, SICK. (Sorry the photo’s not the best, since my selfie skills leave a lot to be desired, but the pedal’s in focus, at least!)
Thanks again to Effects Bay for the opportunity to win, and to Malekko Heavy Industry for creating such a truly unique pedal…my bits are now utterly crushed!
Sincerely,
Dave B.
Thanks Dave! I’m glad you’re liking the Scrutator!
I’ll be announcing another give away in the next few days, so be sure to keep an eye out for that. One way to make sure you don’t miss out.. subscribe to our mailing list!
