Coffee and Riffs – Armon Jay

Coffee and Riffs - Armon JayI’ve watched this video a few times. If you follow me, you know I’m a big fan of the Coffee and Riff episodes from Brady of Old Blood Noise Endeavors. I love demos like where it shows creative possibilities and interesting combinations vs. functional/instructional video demos. Coffee and Riffs nails this every time. On top of that, I enjoy that they bring on guests to help create these interesting sonic loops to get different perspectives.

The episode I wanted to talk about today is part fifty three featuring Armon Jay. When Brady asked about what draws him to certain pedals, I had to crack up about the non-GMO pedals. Organic tone. Good one. But seriously, this episode is hot, if you don’t want to hear the chit chat, head to the 4:26 mark and let’s go for a ride.

I’m loving the Jazzmaster tone (I’m biased of course). Here are the effects featured in this episode:

Old Blood Noise Haunt Fuzz
Old Blood Noise Reflector Chorus prototype
Old Blood Noise Procession Reverb
Old Blood Noise Black Fountain Delay
EHX Micro POG (modified)
Strymon Time Line Delay
Ernie Ball Volume
TC Electronic Ditto X2 Looper
