Page Hamilton – Helmet – Pedalboard 2015

Before we get started on this post, I wanted to post a quick reminder of the Pladask Elektrisk’s Gjengangar give away. I know that’s a mouth full, but I’m telling you, if you miss out on this give away – you’re sorta dumb. For reals. Pladask Elektrisk is a builder based out of Norway and the Gjengangar is a ‘gated’ delay. But saying it’s just a gated delay, I would be scratching at the potential of this pedal. For more details and to enter the give away, go here – Pladask Elektrisk’s Gjengangar Give Away

So a little while back an Effects Bay reader – Nick A., sent me some photos of Russian Circles’ gear and I posted that, which people were super into! Check out Mike Sullivan and Brian Cook‘s boards if you’re into Russian Circles. I was stoked that Nick sent me a few more pics of a recent show. This time it’s Page Hamilton of the great band of the 90s – Helmet.

When I saw that it was Page Hamilton, I had to go down memory lane. When I first heard of Helmet is was for the video – In the Meantime. Check it out:

I dug that pretty hard back then. I also remember, the rumors (could be fact – not sure) that they had the loudest shows (of all time)? Can anyone confirm or deny this? I never had a chance to see them live, so can’t reference the volume at all. But.. I sort of believe it.

So Helmet is still out there, and thank you Nick for hooking me up with a board shot. So let’s get to it!

I saw them at a quite small venue in Adelaide Australia during the 90s. They were brilliant and…very, very LOUD.

He is not, Chris without the other letters! He’s actually very cool. He was very nice to me and he didn’t have to be at all. Of course. If you mean the motherfucking man! Then I agree and kindly ignore.
