Best Coast’s Bobb Bruno and Bethany Cosentino Rig Rundown

A friend of mine let me know about this video yesterday. If you follow this blog, you know I’m a big fan of Premier Guitar’s Rig Rundown shows on YouTube.  Like I mentioned yesterday, it’s great to see how players are using their effects. I also, like drooling over the gear and their ability to conjure up the sounds and tones that are locked in their head.

Best Coast is a band that I like, but I have to admit, I don’t know much about them, but the few recordings I’ve heard, have been really good. After this rundown, I’ll dig a little deeper. I know from the first listens, Bethany’s voice, is fantastic! I didn’t realize that Bobb was such a gear head, so that was fun to discover.

I do have to say one thing about this video. Like I said, I love Rig Rundowns, and I don’t really like to complain too much on this blog. You know.. stay positive and all that. I wish that Tessa Jeffers, who did this interview, would do just a bit more research about gear if she’s going to interview people.. you know, about gear. I don’t think you need to be an expert by any means, but some basic functionality, brands, and what artist do to pedals on the road, might be handy.

Check it out:

If you want to hear what Best Coast is all about, I really did like this KEXP performance a couple of years ago.

Good stuff! But let’s talk about the pedals! Here are the break downs. If you see anything incorrect, please let me know by commenting below!
