TC Electronic Bodyrez

TC Electronic BodyrezThere was a time I was really into acoustics. They definitely have their time and place, but one thing that remained constant for me… I absolutely hated how they sounded when amplified. I’ve messed around with thin line pickups, but usually stick with standard sound hole style pickups, but the struggle for good tone is something that never gets resolved. Not to mention the constant issues with low-mid feedback, ugh.

I saw mention that TC Electronic was announcing a new pedal, the TC Electronic Bodyrez, at Summer NAMM 2015 and this was for acoustic players. I thought I’d take a closer look.

This pedal is insanely simple and addresses some great problems that acoustic players go through. It’s primary goal is to adjust the frequencies to make your acoustic sound.. well.. acoustic, and what I’ve heard, it sounds like they nailed it. Additionally they’ve taken care of the low end feed back with a phase switch. Also, they provide you a way to mute the pedal to allow for quiet (no-pop) guitar changes. Very cool.

Check out this video:

As you can see, this is a great tool for you acoustic players out there. The word on the street.. this pedal will retail for $100. Not a bad price to get great acoustic tone!
