I’ve been really excited about this give away! A while back I had a chance to give the Mission Engineering Delta III Distortion a test drive, and frankly, I was pretty blown away. The control – tone and intensity was pretty amazing. You can have it over the top or with that medium grit, but when you had it cranked, you could always manage useable and controllable tones.
Mission Engineering is a company I’ve been familiar with for years. I’m HUGE fan of their volume pedal, frankly, if you’re looking at volume pedal that doesn’t suck your tone, or fall apart, these are the best. Built like a standard wah – so insanely durable, but the non-tone loss was the selling point for me. I tried a bunch, and Mission’s were the best.. by far.
I thought it was great that they were diving into the field of dirt boxes. I didn’t know what to expect, but for their first distortion, I believe this is a winner and very much worth a close look.
