Last week I posted about Craig Bartock Rig Rundown video by Premier Guitar, if you haven’t seen that, be sure to check out the post and video here. So today I thought it would be great to do a pedalboard break down of Nancy Wilson of Heart.
Now, Nancy Wilson is someone I’ve had a huge amount of respect for years. It’s hard to be a female musician in a male dominated world of guitar. It’s tough today, but imagine what it was like in the mid-70s. I mean there was absolutely NO female rocking guitarists back then. I also believe she is a very underrated guitarist out there that deserves some incredible high praise.
To start things off, check out this great performance from the Midnight Special show back in 1977. Classic Heart. Love seeing Roger Fisher with his Travis Bean too!
Nancy Wilson rocking the Ovation acoustic. You can see.. she has skills for sure. She plays a mix of various instruments during their live shows, and when she plays electric, she uses a few pedals.
Here is a break down of her current pedalboard set up:
Budda Channel Select Switch for Budda amp
Channel Select Switch for Fender Tone Master
Whirlwind Selector A/B Box
Ibanez TS-9 Tubescreamer
Way Huge Swollen Pickle
Budda Zen Man OD/Boost
Ibanez FL-301 Flanger
Voodoo Lab Pedal Power+
