We all know how great Earthquaker Devices is. I’ve mentioned it multiple times – I have a Dispatch Master and love it. I’ve personally played the Disaster Transport SR (had to give it away here.. and it killed me to let that pedal go). Earthquaker pedals are a little different than the standard. They have character.. personality. And because of this, they make you think outside of the box. The Earthquaker Devices Afterneath is a PERFECT example of this. It’s weird. It’s intense. Yet, very musical and you can tame it down, but the extremes it’s capable of is the fun stuff.
A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that the site PedalFinder.com is having a give away where you can potentially win the Earthquaker Devices Afterneath. People went nuts. But I wanted to do this reminder post for those that didn’t see that original post and are unaware of this fantastic give away. Go here for full details.
The skinny on this give away.. all you need to do is create an account at PedalFinder and start adding some reviews. Just start reviewing the pedals you own, and each review counts as an entry. PedalFinder.com is a new site about pedals, but goes beyond a simple database of pedals. You can search based on ‘application’ or by ‘look’. What does that mean? Normally, when searching for pedals.. you’re searching something you already know about right? What about a pedal you don’t know about and could be great for you? With PedalFinder.com you can do this. You can say – I play stoner rock, play guitar, use a tube amp, have humbuckers, play lead and rhythm AND I’m looking for a delay pedal. The site will search reviews that match those criteria and return you a result. Bam.. you just found some delays that other stoner rock guys like.. and you may or may not know about.
You can search by ‘look’. How many times have you been at a show and wanted to know what that 5 knobs yellow pedal the guitarist is hitting? PedalFinder.com allows you to search by pedal enclosure size, knob count, footswitch count and color to return you pedals. Maybe one of those is the pedal you saw. Pretty cool.
Good luck to you. The Afterneath is awesome!!!!
