Mastodon’s Bill Kelliher and Troy Sanders Pedalboards

Yesterday I talk about Brent Hinds, so today I thought I would talk about Mastodon’s Bill Kelliher and Troy Sanders Pedalboards. I’ve talked about both of these musicians in the past, but looks like a lot has changed over the years. But first let’s watch this great Premier Guitar Rig Rundown video first:

I was surprised with Bill Kelliher’s change to the Fractal Audio MFC-101. In the earlier post I had for him, he had a pretty simple board set up with Octave, Distortion and Delay with a few other utilities (Noise Supressor and Tuner). I’m guessing for the new album, he’s introduced some more tones/effects that the Fractal makes much easier in the live environment.

Troy Sanders has made some changes from my earlier post as well, but nothing too wild. He mentioned his “distortion of the month” being a Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian (which was also on his board in the earlier post.. so clearly he likes it.. or it made it’s way back since then)
