Tim Showalter Pedalboard Break Down – Strand of Oaks

Over at Reverb.com’s blog they posted this great blog post with a video of Tim Showalter’s gear. Tim Showalter is the frontman/guitarist/vocalist of Strand of Oaks. It’s fantastic to see another great site doing gear videos of great bands. Thank you Reverb.com!! So before we get into Tim Showalter pedalboard, let’s talk about the band for second.

Now, what I particularly enjoyed about this.. I didn’t know who Strand of Oaks were. First off, Tim had a lot of EarthQuaker Devices on board. Okay.. you have my attention, so I thought it would be time to go down the YouTube rabbit hole and do some research on Strand of Oaks. When I came out the other side.. my conclusion, these guys are fantastic, and loved Tim’s passion, enthusiasm and style of guitar play! Check out this great KEXP video of Stand of Oaks to get your warmed up!

I love the KEXP performance, and this was a great combination of interesting conversation/interview with some great songs. Strand of Oaks, if you’re reading.. you just picked up a new fan!

Okay, let’s get back to Tim’s gear. Here is the video by Reverb.com:

The Disaster Tranaport SR. Is one of the coolest pedals released in the past ten years. I'm shocked I don't see it on more boards…
