A few years back I was on a fuzz hunt. It was fun, interesting and exciting. That was quickly followed by an overdrive hunt. I thought I was done – finished. Well, it turns out.. I may be on the hunt again. What started it? This – Coffee and Riffs Part Thirty Eight which I wrote about a week ago. In that video there, was a fuzz that caught my attention – the Little Axe Gatekeeper. Wow. Which leads us to the Old Blood Noise Endeavors Haunt Fuzz!
So the Little Axe was business/project that Brady was involved in before Walrus Audio / Old Blood Noise Endeavors. He made a few of these before they were all gone. BUT, now Brady at Old Blood Noise Endeavors has come up with the Haunt Fuzz which is an improved version of the Gatekeeper.
Check out this promo/introduction video of the Haunt Fuzz:
That’s not your typical ‘demo’ video.. but it should have gotten your attention. As you can tell it’s got that hairy/wooley breakup fuzz, but with the ability to saw your face off.
Now, check out this video.. which is a more traditional / technical demo, and they run it through all sorts of scenarios including baritone and bass.
The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Haunt Fuzz is definitely on my short list of fuzzes to buy/try in person. 2015 might be the year of fuzz for me (again).
The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Haunt Fuzz is available for $179 directory from their site. If you own the Haunt Fuzz, please comment below and tell me/us all about it!

I own a Haunt and really really love it. I've never been able to have so many different fuzz tones in one pedal. This thing can make a lot of noise though, I usually have the volume dialed to around 9 or 10 o'clock.

Friday I’ll be posting some clips of the Haunt working with other Oldblood Noise Pedals. I really dig it. Specially with the Fuzz nob dimed, you get into some great old noisy crackling, radio station picking up, doom goodness.
