I was doing some guitar research the last couple of days on got an awesome tangent at Andy Othling’s YouTube channel, and specifically with his Guitar Tip #7: Stacking Delays video. The video is/was a great tip on how to stack delays in a way to fill spectrum with repeats, and something that sounds easy, but actually there is some great techniques behind it. Andy did an amazing job explaining how he does it. BUT.. in the video, he was using a Death By Audio Echo Dream 2 Delay… and WOW, bit was super excited about this delay.
First off, here is the Ambient Guitar Tip #7 video:
The Death By Audio Echo Dream 2 Delay is an analog delay providing 20 to 1200 milliseconds of echo, but also includes fuzz and modulation. Controls include Delay Time, Feedback, Delay Mix, Fuzz, Modulation, Depth, and Wave Pattern toggle (Sine or Square).
I wanted to find a more in depth demo of the delay, and I found this good one by Best Guitar Effects:
I don’t know about you.. but I’m digging this pedal re-al bad! If you’re interested in one for yourself, you can pick up a Death by Audio Echo Dream 2 Delay for $270 at Amazon.com. If you own this pedal yourself, please let us know what you think about it by commenting below!

I think its a great pedal. I first heard about the original echo dream but it was OOP so I got version 2.only thing I’ll say is it’s a digi delay, not analog. Although the fuzz on the repeats can make it really grimy sounding like the old analog delays.
