Alchemy Audio Dead Bat Give Away!

Alchemy Audio Dead Bat Give Away!GIVE AWAY IS CLOSED

Alright.. getting back to some give aways here at Effects Bay! Last week I mentioned Alchemy Audio and their Dead Bat pedals – just happened to be a great segue for today!

Alchemy Audio is located in Chicago, IL and have been making some great Dead Bats as well as offering some high quality modifications to pedals. The Dead Bats is their main product. So let me explain what the Dead Bat is. Simple concept. Simple design. Basically, it’s the middle man between your pedal power and the pedal. Having control of the voltage to your target pedal can give some great results. Some guitarists love the tone of their pedal right before the battery completely dies. That’s because in that short time, the voltage drops, so that ideal tone could be at 7 volts instead of 9 volts. With the Dead Bat, you can dial in the voltage and find your sweet spot.

Some common pedals that people like less voltage.. Tube Screamers, Fuzz pedals, Wahs, etc. With the Dead Bat in line, a fully maxed out dial will give you full 9 volts, and you can drop it to nothing. You would plug a One Spot/Voodoo Lab type of power supply to the Dead Bat and then connect the output power of the Dead Bat to the power of the pedal.  The secondary power cable is provided.

So let’s talk about the give away! Johnny Balmer of Alchemy Audio sent me 2 Dead Bats to give away. So this give away… will have 2 winners!

I’m going to select two random entries on June 16th. I will email that random entry asking for the answer to the question listed below. They will have 24 hours to respond with the answer. If the 24 hours passes and I don’t hear from that finalists, I will select a new random entry and repeat the process until I receive confirmation from the winners. This is open to everyone. Yes, that means international! Also, one entry per person. Please read that last sentence again… “one” “entry” “per” “person”.

The submission form will be open until June 16th (Mon) 2PM MST.

On top of that, Johnny at Alchemy Audio is going to sweeten the deal. If you ‘LIKE’ Alchemy Audio on Facebook and you’re selected as the winner, he’ll throw in an extra prize – An Audio Alchemy Short Sleeve Industrial Work Shirt ($30 value).

So, it’s pretty much a no-brainer to like Alchemy Audio on Facebook! Just click the ‘likes’ below.

Please take a moment to Tweet, Share, Email this give away to your gear friends. We all like free gear right?

So the question is…. “If you had $600 to spend on one pedal, what would it be? – Note – the pedal could be cheaper than that amount specified.”
