Today’s pedal line is from Jeremy Burnham. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.
Thanks for sharing my board with everyone.
I’m an overdrive addict and I’ve limited myself to only three overdrives to this board. I find this set up allows me to cover a wide range of the cover songs we play, without giving up the tone that I feel most comfortable with.
My pedal line is:
Boss TU-2
Walrus Audio – Deep Six Compressor
Electro-Harmonix Q-Tron
Boss Blues Driver
Mad Professor Sweet Honey Overdrive
JHS SuperBolt
Ibanez AD9 Analog Delay
The pedal board is your garden variety SKB powered board. The Boss TU-2 is the only tuner I’ve owned that has lasted and withstood the test of time. The Deep Six Compressor holds down the line for the rest of the board and really has permitted me to fine tune my tone. The Q-Tron I use for select solos and I’m mindful not to overuse it. When I play with the guys of Husky Love, I swap the Q-Tron out for a wah.
The overdrives come next. I use the BD-2 as a boost pedal with a hint of gain. I follow this with SHOD. The SHOD gives me a clean Petty overdrive sound, where as the SuperBolt gives me that solid Zeppelin amp break up. The last pedal is my Analog Chorus pedal.
I hope this was insightful. I find it’s much more fun to play the board than to write about. Check out the Squirrel Mummies Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Squirrel-Mummies/421317151256946?ref=hl
