Mojo Hand FX Zephyr Fuzz Give Away

It is that time again.. time to give away a pedal!! This time it’s a tasty fuzz from the great folks at Mojo Hand FX. Brad Fee of Mojo Hand has been a long friend of Effects Bay, all the way back to the early days! He sent us the Zephyr Fuzz to demo a while back, and it’s time to give this bad-boy away to a lucky Effects Bay Reader!

The Mojo Hand FX Zephyr fuzz is what I would refer to a ‘classic’ fuzz, meaning it not a sputtering, square based fuzz on the extreme side, but a warmer, wooly fuzz. Absolutely great tone and work well with rhythm or lead work for sure. Controls include volume, tone and attack. The Mojo Hand FX Zephyr Fuzz sells for $160, so this is a great opportunity to pick this up for free!

Come taste the Fuzz…  One of the most sought after yet under-appreciated fuzz circuits of the past gets the Mojo treatment.Based on the Sam Ash Fuzz/AstroTone Fuzz used by the late Tommy Bolin…the Zephyr offers modern upgrades and our own mojo spice.  With a tone somewhere between a Fuzz Face and an overdrive, the original Sam Ash Fuzz was a unique beast.  Bolin often set his for massive amounts of high end and output to feed into his Hiwatt stacks.  While the Zephyr can be used to nail this particular sound, we’ve tweaked the circuit to be useful in different settings and versatile enough to cover a wide spectrum of sounds.

Whether used alone or in conjunction with other OD/Fuzzes…the Zephyr is capable of some pretty unique sounds.
