Wow.. I’m pumped about this one. I just took advantage of this deal for a friend of mine before I posted this. At Amazon (via Alto Music) there is a very nice deal on the MXR M169 Carbon Copy Analog Delay. This pedal lists at $254.61, and is usually available for $150, but is on sale for a great price of $98.39 + shipping. That’s $50 off the going rate for that pedal – which happens to be a fantastic analog delay.
For those of you not familiar with the MXR Carbon Copy, here is the official product video by jimdunlopusa:

Again, the MXR M169 Carbon Copy Analog Delay is on sale for only $98.39 at Amazon! At the time of this posting, there were 15 units in stock. When these numbers get close to running out, the price often changes. So if you want one, you’d better jump on it before it’s too late!

I recently bought a Joyo Analog Delay for $55 and it does the job just fine. I mainly wanted the effect for slapback. Check it out.

Unless Joyo has released a REAL analog delay using Bucket Brigade chips in the past month or so Im pretty sure you bought a digital delay with analog filtering using the PT2399 IC. It isn’t a true analog delay and bugs the heck out of me. I do like delays using this IC but labeling it as true analog is false advertising.
