Saturday night, I watched Austin City Limits, which happens to be one of my favorite programs. I’m not sure if this was a re-run, but it was definitely the first time I saw the band Arcade Fire perform on ACL. I’ve been a fan of Arcade Fire for a while now, and the album “The Suburbs” is one of my favorites.
I’ve seen Arcade Fire performances on YouTube, but nothing as extensive as I watched on ACL the other night. If you’re not familiar with Arcade Fire’s live performance, they tend to switch instruments and there are a lot of performers on stage with any given song. It’s definitely something to watch. I imagine seeing them in person, you really get a feel for their energy.
After watching the show, I thought it would be cool to break down a couple of pedal boards. For this post, I’ll be breaking down guitarist Richard Reed Parry!
While doing research for this post, I wanted to get the most up-to-date board, I came across the ACL blog that had some great photos of their gear from the performance I watched on Saturday! Photo credit goes to Kevin Cochran.
Here is the break down of pedals.
