I actually have 2 slightly different pedalboards. One is used for recording, playing Broadway-style theatre shows (Little Shop of Horrors, etc.) and for practice at home.
The second board, which I’m submitting to Pedal Line Friday is the one I keep at church for my weekly praise band gig. I usually go through a Line 6 X2 wireless system into the board and then to my Egnator Tweaker combo (15 watt amp that I mic and run through the PA). I usually play one of my Les Pauls or my Gibson CS-356.
Guitar > Input / Output box (guitar in) > Boss NS-2 (input/send) > Budda Wah > RoadRage true-bypass looper for dirt, overdrive, distortion, and fuzz (Danelectro CoolCat Transparent Overdrive v.1 (Timmy clone) > Danelectro CoolCat Overdrive v1. (OCD clone) > Danelectro CoolCat Distortion v1. (CrunchBox clone) > Danelectro Daddy-O) > Lead / Rhythm switch (each with an “always on” xotic EP Booster, lead is set louder) and the looper has a clean bypass > Boss NS-2 (return/output) > Input / Output box (amp out, which may be jumpered to F/X lop send in if I’m running everything before the amp) > Dunlop Rotovibe > Boss DD-20 > DeArmond Volume pedal > Input / Output box (F/X loop return out, which may really be going to the amp input)
One thing you’ll notice about this board is that I’m actually running through my RoadRage true-bypass looper “backwards” (left to right instead of the more common right to left route). I do this so that I can stack my dirt pedals and use the A/B loop towards the right of the looper to switch between my lead and rhythm volume settings. I have EP Boosters on both of these two loops (one set about 9 o’clock for rhythm work) and the other all the way up for a lead guitar volume boost.
The other thing about this board is that I have the option of running my modulation/delay effects in the amp’s effects loop instead of in front of the amp. This is accomplished using the input/output box on the board (see pic). However, most weeks I just keep everything in front of the amp, which is set for a nice USA (Fender) style clean sound (dirt comes from the pedals). But the option to split the pedals on the board is always there in case I want part of them in front of the amp and the rest in the effects loop.

So let me make sure I understand this. The RoadRage true bypass looper also has an internal A/B switch to go between the 2 xotic EP Booster pedals you have on the board. Am I understanding that correctly?

And the looper has an overall true bypass to cut all of those effects out. Correct?
Finally, is the output box the black thing in the top left corner above the volume pedal? Is that something you made yourself? Does it have a switch to go between the effects loop of your amp and the front input of your amp? Or do you just decide at the beginning of the set which way you want to run it (amp effects loop or front of amp)?
Sorry for all the annoying questions. Just trying to understand. It looks great! I may have to put something like this together for myself. Thanks for sharing! -

Sorry for the very late response gtr1ab. Yes, you are correct on all counts. The A/B switch lets me have an always on EP Booster (one of the 2 on the board – one at my “rhythm” volume level and one set higher for “lead”). The bypass switch bypasses everything else in the RoadRage box. And yes, I wired up the box for FX loop/input/output myself (yes, its above the volume pedal) and I just decide which inputs I want to use when I’m setting up for the day.
