TC Electronic Flashback X4

TC Electronic Flashback X4TC Electronic has been posting teases about their new pedal, the TC Electronic Flashback X4. Here we have an expanded Flashback delay. The X4 will have 3 preset (basically 3 individual Flashbacks), a dedicated tap tempo, and is a full feature looper with undo/redo on the looper which is a new for the Flashback. TC Electronic also introduced two new delays for the Flashback – tube echo and the space echo. According to TC Electronic there were many requests for additional tone print slots. They answered that request by providing 4 tone print slots on the X4.

The TC Electronic Flashback X4 also has stereo in/out, MIDI in/through, expression pedal input and USB input. This pedal is schedule to come out some time in October. If you’re into delays, this might be a great one to pick up! I’m not sure about sticker price on this, we’ll just have wait patiently.

Here is a video by AudioFanzine where Tor from TC Electronics gives us the skinny on the Flashback X4:

I really like this pedal, but I’m not sure I have enough real estate left on my pedalboard.

Hi, yeah man will do… it’s like a major selling point for a lot of us… my line 6 has been so good on sessions – backwashes etc… just killer… but the the TC loop with 40 seconds (might be a clincher with those regarded TC sounds to boot) any recomendations on loopers generally…? (the need to reverse and slow/speed up is crucial)

Im very eager to see the price-point of this thing. My hall of fame has treated me wonderfully so far, the possibility of dual delay and the toneprint of the DM-3 on the FB x4 have me very interested

I’m still waiting on price. I think it will destroy the DL4.
