Coldcraft Effects – Cascade Overdrive Give Away!

This morning I was feeling a little anxious. Couldn’t really pin it out down, but I think I figured it out. It’s time to launch another pedal give away! This is yet another give away I’m very excited about, the Coldcraft Effects Cascade Overdrive. We demo’d this pedal a few months ago, and it’s a good one. Please read “Cold Craft Cascade Demo” for full demo and to see what I mean.

The Coldcraft Effects Cascade is basically two overdrives in a single enclosure and chained in series (hence the ‘cascade’ name). Drive A is a warm Class A inspired tone while Drive B has a punchy Class A/B style tone. Both stages have moderate gain, but when used together, it’s gets thick and complex! The Cascade also has a passive tone ‘cut’ to smooth things out when needed.

For those of you not familiar with Coldcraft Effects it is owned by Austin Ziltz and is based out of Williamsburg, VA. Coldcraft Effects began official production in 2010, and are making some great pedals (Cascade, Black Dynamite MkII, Fiesta Fuzz MkII). Along with their production line of pedals they also have a Custom Shop which offers limited runs of special pedals. Definitely worth checking out.
