Today’s pedal line is from Brian Cheetham. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page.
Here is the chain:
*Guitar-PRS CE 24 (1998)
*This 1’s Myne mini buffer – for cleaning up the signal
*Dunlop Crybaby Wah (1980’s)
*tc electronic Polytune
*Fulltone Fulldrive – medium dirt
*ProCo Rat – nasty dirt
*Mojo Hand FX Rook overdrive – maybe the best heavy overdrive out there
*tc electronic Nova Delay
Left out to
*DOD Ice Box Chorus
*Vox ToneLab ST (AC30 amp model, no effects)
Right out to
*Line 6 POD X3 (Lincoln Brewster Marshall Plexi patch, 10 ms delay, 100% wet)
The whole thing runs direct to two channel on the PA, with the left channel panned hard left, the right panned hard right. The delay on the POD helps give better stereo separation between the two channels. If you’re not running stereo now, someday you will be.
The POD can run two separate amp models in stereo by itself, but I can’t get away from how terrific the Vox models the AC30. Both the Vox and the POD have effects built in, but the standalone units in my pedal board just sound better.
