I’ve been on a looper kick lately. Since I started the skull taps deal, I’ve been messing around with the Boss RC-3 and Boss RC-30 for R&D purposes. But, in the process, I’ve been getting into some cool loops with the guitar and really been enjoying that. I’ve been wanting more power and flexibility so I’ve started doing some research on the Boss RC-300 and the Boomerang, etc. But in the process of this, I just stumbled on the Pigtronix Infinity Looper that is not out yet.. argh!
The Pigtronix Infinity Looper offers a couple of looping modes – sync, out of sync or in series. It’s a two loop looper that has stereo outs. Series loop mode is what caught my eye. Basically like a 2 track recorder where one loop is engaged, the other is turned off on one click – verse and chorus for example. I’m not sure if about the other modes and I’m not sure about creating multiple loops – I’m assuming you can go beyond the two, but there isn’t a lot of information.
I found this video by theToneKing from the New York Amp Show 2012. It’s not the best audio quality, but you get the gist of what the pedal is all about.

I contacted Pigtronix last week to see if there was an official release date, and they said it would be out in September/October of this year. They’re still dialing in the software, but this is a looper to keep an eye out for!
