I come across pedals all the time, but a few times I crack a smile and think of a few people that would go nuts for a pedal I just stumbled on. This time it’s the Marrs Pedals – Multiverse with the Satellite Strobe. Julian Marrs, who I showcased in the past, sent me an email letting me know about this new product he’s offering. I was happy to take a look and I know some EffectsBay readers are going to love this thing.
The Multiverse is a hybrid tremolo | boost | fuzz and strobe controller. The controls for the Multiverse are:
Blip / Normal – which assigns the speed type of the unit. Blip is incredibly fast tremolo speed which uses an irregular tremolo cycle. The normal is an even on / off tremolo cycle.
Chop / Swell – controls the wave form. Hard chops or gentle swell.
Clean / Dirty – sends the signal to the fuzz circuit
Satellite On / Off – engages the satellite strobe
Guitar / Timer – strobe is on all the time via timer, or only engages with the guitar
Additionally, you have Dirt, Depth, Volume and Speed controls for dialing it in just right.
The Satellite Strobe is a secondary unit that plugs into the Multiverse which provides a wicked strobe effect to match the tremolo speed. The Satellite Strobe has a on / off switch and LED indicator. The strobe is quite powerful (15V or less) and has a brightness level control.

Its cool. 8 out of 10 rating for cool. I agree I am starting to seizure myself. I dig the sound but the light would annoy me, I would have to wear my sunglasses inside and the only time I would use it would be to look cool in a show. Or during a power outage as the only source of light with a Pignose Amp. I fuzz a bit harder, like shake the plates out of the neighbors cupboards but to each his own. Since its a combo it’s meant for special use, dig that speed knobage!

The strobe light is a stand alone pedal – it doesn’t have to come with the Multiverse. Think of it as a bonus. It connects via a 1/4 instrument cable so you can place it anywhere in the room – It doesn’t have to be blasting you in the face if you don’t want it to be. Placing it behind a drummer makes for a cool effect. It’s a lot of fun at shows.
