I came across an interesting product today – the Digitech iStomp. This is definitely the future for a large segment of guitarists/bassists. It provides the ability to create digital effects from your iPhone/iPad/iPod but control the effect like a analog stomp by allowing for a floor controlled unit and the ability to have ‘knobs’ to dial in the effect. You can select from 20 different stomp boxes (I’m sure many more to come). If I understand this correctly, you can store the effects on your iDevice and push it to the pedal, but the pedal can only play one effect once it’s loaded. If anyone has any personal experience with this, please chime in and let me know what you think!
You can pick up a Digitech iStomp for $139.99 at Amazon.
