More talk about the TC Electronic PolyTune Mini pedal. They’ll be showing this off at NAMM today. No word on release date or price yet on this guy. I’m sure it’ll be a very hot item for 2012! They mentioned that this includes the Drop-D tuning upgrade as well (not sure if they released that update for their standard pedal). The bummer, just like anything, is buying something cool and then finding out a short time later, there is a better version. Just like computers, TVs, etc. Sucks, but that’s life. I know a lot of people picked up the current version of the PolyTune and are now bummed that they should have waited for the mini.

I hope they update the bigger one. I was about to buy a tuner, and my old eyes need a bigger screen.

I want to like it, and I do, but I wish they could have made the display a bit more visible. Compared to others (Go Go, PitchBlack, even Boss), it’s not not as easy to see in my opinion.

If you’re within the return period (30 or more days at most places) return it IF its still in mint. Otherwise, eBay it, etc. before its value decreases when other people find out about this new one and sell their old ones.

BTW, Korg just announced a polyphonic version of the PitchBlack at NAMM. It will work on all strings at one time like the TC PolyTune.
