Free Shirt Wednesday – 4/13 – Caroline Guitar Company

Free Shirt Wednesday - 4/13 - Caroline Guitar CompanyToday’s Free Shirt Wednesday is Caroline Guitar Company! I’m really excited about this company, and our upcoming review of their Wave Cannon. Caroline Guitar Company is a new company offering a great product. The Wave Cannon is a booster/overdrive/distortion pedal, and it’s a pedal their builder, Philippe Herndon, is passionate about. Hopefully, in the next week or so, we’ll have a review put together, but initial thoughts of this pedal… it’s very very nice.

Here it the official description of the Caroline Guitar Company Wave Cannon:

We’re not going to pretend that this pedal is for anyone and everyone. A serious player will find plenty of great sounds with the Wave Cannon that respond to how they play: changing your technique, pick attack, dynamics, guitar and amp controls, pickup selections, and so on will yield a variety of great sounds. While capable of going from stomach-punching levels of boost all the way to waves of op-amp driven fuzz, the Wave Cannon pedal is not for the novice player who expects their gain pedal to do most of the work for them. Nor did we nanny-state this pedal to protect you from yourself; if you crank the drive controls and use a really bright guitar and amp, this pedal will get weird, squeal, and whistle at you.  And we haven’t even talked about the kinds of sonic mayhem that the Wave Cannon is capable of when you flip the Havoc switch!

Here is a shot of the rear portion of the t-shirt where they’re reproducing their laser engraved plate on their pedals (first 125 pedals). I dig the engraved plate.. nice touch.

Free Shirt Wednesday - 4/13 - Caroline Guitar Company (back)I had the pleasure to interview Philippe a little while ago, you can read the short interview here (and there is a great video there as well):  “Introducing Caroline Guitar Company”

If you get a chance, check out Caroline Guitar Company on the web, on Facebook and on Twitter!
