Last week I was reading about this, and wanted to make a post about this.. but forgot. But I just remembered. This is a pretty amazing invention in the world of guitar. EverTune is a new bridge tuning system that keeps your guitar in tune. In a nut shell, it uses isolated springs to maintain a consistent tension on each of your springs. It works with bends as well as alternative tunings. The tuning peg basically tightens the string to the base string tension, then you set the tune at the bridge. I heard about this.. but was not a believer. It definitely seems neat. Check out this video of Shim from Sick Puppies.

There are some issues with this.. in my opinion. Mainly, this involves routing out you guitar body to fit this system. I would personally be a little weary about shipping my #1 guitar to get this done, but that’s just me. Since it’s a routing job, you can’t undo it if you don’t like something about it, so be sure you really want it before spending the dough to get this done. I have no idea what they charge for their system. Looks like their still finalizing partnerships, so pricing should be available soon.
