One of the bands I’ve been liking for a while now, is Foals. I think they’re really interesting, and for whatever reason, I seriously get hooked listening to them. They definitely don’t fit my ‘typical’ band that I like to listen to which makes it that more fun and different for me.
Their angle is a minimalistic style, two guitars (one being a Travis Bean guitar) make interesting patterns and guitar interplay… almost electronic like. Their last album “Antidotes” was my first introduction to them, but I’ve been excited to hear their upcoming release “Total Life Forever“.
I found this great video at Drowned In Sound showing some clips of Foals in the studio for this upcoming release.
So, that clip is interesting to me.. since I know what they’re all about, etc. But if you have no idea who Foals are here is a older video from Antidotes called Hummer which has the classic ‘Foals’ sounds with the guitars.
