Today I wanted to talk about the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power supply. I’ve been powering pedals using my Boss TU-2 or Boss LS-2 pedals, or directly depending on the pedal (Holy Fire has 48v power supply and my Line 6 DL4 needs it’s own power). Since I started writing this blog, I’ve been getting more and more into pedals in my line. For awhile there, I was running a pretty stripped down set up (seems like I follow this pattern, get effects, then get bare, then get effects again). So this time around I’ve been playing with pedal board configurations and will be buying a Pedal Train soon, but I was thinking it would be nice to get some nice pedal power in the mix. My research definitely leads me to the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power.
Here is the official description:
Used by top touring and recording musicians everywhere, the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus is the industry standard power supply for all battery-operated guitar effects. With eight 9V completely isolated, regulated, and highly filtered outputs, Pedal Power 2 Plus will make your pedals sound consistently at their best. A custom designed, ultra-low noise toroidal transformer delivers quiet operation, free of hum and noise.
Features two outputs that can be switched to power Line 6 modeling pedals, and two outputs with variable voltage “sag” to emulate dying carbon batteries for nailing that vintage sound in your wah, overdrive or fuzz. Plus, with its isolated outs, you can combine them to create 18V and more! Pedal Power 2 Plus is hand made in the U.S.A. and comes complete with cables, detachable AC power cord, and a 5-year warranty.
Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power Supply Features:

I found a nice video by lmsjr (I’m assuming that this is The Tone King) where he goes into the Pedal Power as well as the Voodoo Lab Pedal Switcher.
